Sprinkler systems and extinguising equipment

Water extinguishing sprinkler systems

Wet sprinkler system

  • It can be used in frost-free places
  • Automatic extinguishing device, its built-in closed pipe network is under constant water pressure, so it immediately activates in the event of a fire
  • The sprinkler heads in the vicinity of the fire open/start extinguishing in a targeted manner
  • Perfectly reliable, fast system

Dry sprinkler system

  • It can be safely used in places with a risk of frost: warehouses, parking garages, loading bays, etc.
  • Its built-in pipe network is filled with air/nitrogen, and only the water supply part is filled with water.
  • Fire alarm, or the dry alarm valve opens when the sprinkler head is opened. It fills up with water following the rapidly exiting air on the open heads, and the system starts extinguishing almost immediately.

Pre-controlled sprinkler system

  • Sprinkler system applied to places using water-sensitive technologies: computer rooms, telephone exchanges, cinemas, theaters, libraries, museums, exhibition halls, etc.
  • It basically functions as a dry system, so it can also be used in frost-sensitive areas
  • It can be installed in two ways: it is activated only by the fire alarm system, due to the pressure drop of the sprinkler head that may open due to mechanical damage, only the air flows out of the pipe network, without causing unnecessary water damage.
  • In other cases, in the event of a fire alarm system failure, opening the sprinkler head can also activate the system.

Deluge sprinkler systems

  • Extinguishing system used in highly fire-prone areas.
  • It was specially developed for flooding the areas to be vaccinated with a large amount of vaccine.
  • The sprinkler heads are open by default, the Deluge valve only lets water into the pipe network in the event of a fire, so it is also perfectly suitable for protecting places at risk of frost.
  • With foam extinguishing technology that can be easily combined, it is therefore also suitable for the protection of storage and production units of highly flammable liquids: power plants, chemical warehouses, chemical industry production units.

Water mist extinguishing systems

  • In addition to fire damage, water damage can also be limited with it, so minimal water consumption during firefighting can protect: the values of galleries and museums, the environment of high-end hotels, office equipment, electrical equipment, the structure of cooling tunnels, and the mechanical equipment of industrial production lines.
  • Extremely high efficiency: it can produce a cooling effect seven times better than water extinguishing systems.
  • Special nozzles atomize the water into water droplets smaller than 1000 microns, which act on the two main needs of the fire at the same time: it displaces oxygen and reduces the temperature in the targeted area.
  • A particularly water-saving solution.
  • The system, originally developed for extinguishing the engine bays of cruise ships, has now been successfully used for the fire protection of escalators, office buildings, hotels, explosive and flammable liquid storages.

Foam extinguishing systems

Water sources of extinguishing systems

In order to ensure the irrigation of the areas to be protected, it is necessary to store a reserve amount of water for a specified period of time. Consultation with the competent Fire Protection Authority is required already at the construction permit stage!

  • The pressure of the municipal water network provides the system pressure.
  • Air pressure water tank: closed system tank, the system pressure is provided by the air pressure above the water, usually 10 bar, standby air pressure is maintained by a compressor.
  • High tank: a tank placed above the sprinkler system, in which the hydrostatic pressure maintains the pressure, can rarely be solved economically.
  • Reservoirs, natural waters, lakes, pools: the most common water sources, the standby pressure of the system is provided by a pressure booster pump, which is needed due to temperature fluctuations and small drops.
